COVID-19 Protocols

An important message to client agencies and candidates.

**Please read entire message (Current March 2022)**

We are closely monitoring the most up-to-date information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local county ordinances regarding COVID-19 to ensure the actions we are taking are comprehensive and appropriate. We want to update you on the steps we are taking to ensure applicants, clients, and employees remain in a safe and healthy environment.

At this time, our office remains open for scheduled appointments for testing, counseling, and debriefings, but we are also offering these services remotely upon appointment when available. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in our offices. We have implemented heightened precautions in sanitization, disinfection, and cleaning measures as guided by CDC. We are undertaking the following measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment:

  • Facial coverings in the office for all applicants, clients, and employees are optional. Individuals who are more comfortable wearing a mask should feel welcome to continue doing so. A person with a disability or medical condition that requires additional space, precautions, and/or prevents wearing a facial covering should inform office staff immediately upon arrival or by phone contact prior to appointment date. In such cases, our office will provide alternate methods to manage appointment, including the possibility of a remote appointment through virtual platform.

  • Work stations are approximately two feet apart and testing procedures, including interview, are structured around limiting contact and maintaining social distancing throughout evaluation process.

  • If numbers increase again with updated guidance to be more restrictive, we are prepared to limit the amount of in-office appointments scheduled per day, as well as creating safe distance of at least six feet between staff and applicants within the office, if necessary.

  • Our staff has increased the frequency and rigor of cleaning and sanitization in all areas of the office, utilizing cleaning and disinfectants with chemicals recommended by the CDC. We are focusing on cleaning all common areas, door handles, desks, writing instruments, countertops, and bathrooms. Doors to common areas, testing room, and waiting room are left open to minimize touch points.

  • We have multiple hand washing stations throughout the office in restrooms and applicant waiting room. We encourage applicants, clients, and employees to frequently wash hands with soap throughout the day for at least 20 seconds each occasion, covering all surfaces of your hands with soap and rubbing together to facilitate process of cleaning.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, hand sanitizer is available in all common areas.  Remember, frequent hand washing with soap and water is extremely effective if done properly and should be your first option when available.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Tissues are available in all common areas.

IMPORTANT:

  • We are advising any employee, client, and applicant who experiences a fever, cough, body aches, or difficulty breathing to be mindful and NOT ATTEND any appointments at our office. If you’ve experienced any of the listed symptoms and/or tested positive for COVID, please follow the current CDC Guidelines when rescheduling your appointment.

  • We are advising agencies and applicants that anyone who has recently traveled abroad to NOT ATTEND scheduled appointments at our office within 5 days from the date of your return.

  • We understand many area camps/schools may be closed at various times, leading to issues with childcare needs. Attending to your family and children should be your first priority and we remain flexible with rescheduling appointments.

If any of this applies to you, please contact our office immediately in order to postpone/reschedule your appointment or test remotely: 305-442-8800 ext #1. We are not requiring a doctor’s note for canceling or rescheduling. We will maintain full flexibility with this process and will encourage agencies to be proactive with this as well. Please do not arrive to our office if you are experiencing any symptoms.  If there is concern that an applicant, client, or employee is experiencing symptoms, we will require you to leave the office immediately and encourage you to seek care and take appropriate precautions.

Our responsibility in maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the office is extremely important to us. We will continue to track the situation daily and follow the guidance of local governments, agencies, and health officials. As circumstances continue to develop, we will make our decisions with the health and well-being of our staff, clients, and applicants as our highest priority.
